Spearwood

Spearwood is a tough, woody shrub or small tree that usually grows between 3 and 8 meters high, traditionally valued for its dense, hard timber. It features stiff, curved, grey-green leaves and exhibits distinct, elongated cylinder-shaped yellow flower spikes rather than the typical round balls. It naturally grows on rocky ridges, making it highly drought-resistant and perfectly suited to rocky, exposed, or sloping garden areas.
