Swamp Banksia

The Swamp Banksia is a structurally dramatic native shrub growing 1.5 to 3 meters tall, instantly recognizable by its massive, leathery, dark-green leaves that can grow up to 30cm long. It produces striking flower spikes that emerge as a deep metallic-green before turning cream and eventually fading to a rich bronze. Unlike most banksias, it is native to waterlogged areas, making it ideal for boggy spots, pond edges, or wet clay soils requiring lots of water.
