Old Man Banksia

Old Man Banksia is an iconic, deeply atmospheric native tree growing 4 to 10 meters tall, famous for its gnarled, twisted trunk and heavily wrinkled, thick gray bark. It features serrated green leaves and produces massive, woolly, yellowish-green flower spikes that mature into rugged, open-mouthed woody cones.
