Common Appleberry

The Common Appleberry is a soft, scrambling native climber or small mounding shrub that grows up to 1 meter high or twines gently into nearby branches. It produces delicate, bell-shaped, cream-to-pale-yellow flowers in spring, followed by soft green edible berries that drop to the ground when ripe and taste like stewed apples. It is highly versatile, growing well in shaded understories or sunny borders, and makes a beautiful feature trailing out of an outdoor pot.
