Bulbine Lily

The Bulbine Lily is a lovely, tufted succulent perennial herb that forms small clumps of fleshy, onion-like green leaves up to 60cm tall. In spring and summer, it shoots up upright spikes topped with bright yellow, star-shaped fragrant flowers that are a magnet for native bees and butterflies. It features an edible bulbous root historically used as a food source, and it looks beautiful massed in native cottage gardens or kept in sunny pots.
