Pale Flax-lily

The Pale Flax-lily is a highly resilient, tufted native perennial grass-like plant forming neat, upright clumps of smooth, strap-shaped blue-green leaves up to 80cm tall. In spring and summer, it sends up tall branched stems bearing delicate, pale blue to purple flowers with bright yellow centers, followed by glossy, deep-blue edible berries that attract native birds. It is virtually bulletproof, handling severe drought, frost, and dense shade in garden borders or pots.
