Gymea Lily

The Gymea Lily is a spectacular, colossal native perennial that forms a massive, architectural rosette of sword-shaped leathery green leaves that can easily grow up to 2 meters long. After several years, it shoots up a giant, robust flower spike reaching 3 to 5 meters high, topped with an immense, head-sized cluster of deeply vibrant, blood-red trumpet flowers that drip with nectar for local birds. It is an extraordinary, high-impact landscape statement plant that thrives in sun or shade and can even be kept in deep patio pots.
