Apple Box

The Apple Box is a robust, fast-growing native tree that easily surpasses 3 meters, commonly growing 15 to 25 meters high with a heavily branched, wide-spreading canopy. It features a uniquely rough, tessellated, fibrous grey bark that feels spongy to the touch, and it yields large numbers of small white flower clusters from summer to autumn. It handles heavy clay and damp, lower-lying valley soils well, making it an exceptional shade provider or environmental restoration tree for larger acreage.
