Buxton Gum / Silver Gum

The Buxton Gum is a highly ornamental, compact native tree growing 4 to 8 meters tall, heavily distinguished by its dense, crowded, intensely silvery-blue heart-shaped leaves with crinkled margins. In spring, it produces masses of small, sweetly scented white flowers close to its powdery-white stems. Naturally endangered in the wild, it is unique among eucalypts for its incredible tolerance of wet, heavy clay soils and constant waterlogging, making it perfect for damp hollows requiring lots of water.
