Red Stringybark

The Red Stringybark is a robust, long-lived native forest tree that easily surpasses 3 meters, commonly growing 12 to 25 meters high. It is heavily distinguished by its thick, deeply furrowed, and fibrous red-brown stringy bark that coats the entire trunk. It features dark green foliage and produces clusters of creamy-white flowers in summer that are highly valued for honey production. It is incredibly drought and frost-hardy, perfect for establishing timber or shelterbelts on larger acreage.
