Messmate Stringybark

The Messmate Stringybark is a historic, colossal native forest tree growing well past 3 meters, frequently reaching majestic heights of 15 to 30 meters or more. It features a massive trunk completely wrapped in thick, rough, fibrous stringy bark, topped with a dense canopy of large, glossy dark-green asymmetrical leaves. It bears small white flowers in summer, providing critical nesting hollows and food for native cockatoos, making it a premier timber and habitat tree for large rural properties.
