Swamp Gum

The Swamp Gum is a fast-growing, hardy native tree that easily surpasses 3 meters, regularly reaching heights of 15 to 25 meters. It develops a smooth grey bark that sheds in long ribbons, paired with large, broad green leaves that have distinctly wavy margins. Uniquely adapted to saturated ground, it thrives in waterlogged clay soils, swampy flats, and drainage lines that receive lots of water, making it a critical choice for rural environmental restoration and windbreaks in wet zones.
