Spinning Gum

The Spinning Gum is a fascinating, highly unusual native tree growing 4 to 9 meters high, legendary for its juvenile foliage structure. The leaves are completely circular and grow entirely fused around the stem; when they mature and dry out, they snap away and spin freely around the branch in the wind.
