Salmon Gum

The Salmon Gum is a magnificent, slow-growing native inland tree that easily surpasses 3 meters, commonly growing 15 to 25 meters tall with a stately, umbrella-like canopy. It is easily recognized by its extraordinarily beautiful, smooth bark that shifts in color from a pale silver-grey to a rich, glowing copper-salmon pink in summer. This tree is incredibly drought-hardy, thriving in low-rainfall zones, and makes an outstanding, long-lived windbreak or shade tree on large properties[cite: 23].
