Bird Beak Hakea

The Bird Beak Hakea is a rigid, densely branched native shrub growing 1.5 to 3 meters tall, completely covered in long, ultra-sharp needle-like green branchlets. In winter and spring, it becomes highly decorative, covered in masses of brilliant bright red flowers clustered tightly along the old wood stems, followed by highly distinct woody seed pods that resemble a bird's beak.
