Warty Hakea

The Warty Hakea is a tough, rigid native shrub growing 1.5 to 2.5 meters high with a dense, sprawling growth habit. It features sharp, cylindrical needle leaves and produces distinct clusters of pendulous white-to-deep-pink flowers along its stems in winter, followed by highly distinct, rough warty woody seed capsules. It handles poor gravelly soils and severe drought with ease, working beautifully as a defensive medium barrier[cite: 27].
