Cross-leaf Honey-myrtle

The Cross-leaf Honey-myrtle is an attractive, densely branched native shrub growing 2 to 3 meters high, featuring small, narrow green leaves arranged in neat, opposite pairs along the stems. Throughout spring and summer, it produces a lovely display of small, mauve-to-purple bottle-brush-like flower spikes that fade to white. It is highly adaptable, handling both dry periods and wet clay soils well to form a reliable screening hedge.
